For many years we have known that the only constant thing is change. However, change has never been as dynamic, non-directional, unpredictable and chaotic as it is today. In such a dynamic environment, unless marketing adapts and modernises itself, it risks becoming obsolete.

CROMAR – The Croatian Marketing Association assumes the responsibility of triggering a discussion on current challenges and experiences in order to provoke academic and practical insights and develop marketing models and processes that better suit contemporary reality.

CROMAR therefore invites all academic researchers, doctoral students and practitioners in marketing to contribute to the 23rd CROMAR Congress as active presenters of their own scientific research, as presenters of best practice experiences or as participants in the ensuing discussions



Your marketing assumptions will be challenged. We will invite leading marketing experts who will challenge your marketing ideas and reveal emerging marketing trends.

You will witness the interaction between academic knowledge and practical achievements.We will continue the tradition introduced during our previous conference in Pula and dedicate a great portion of time to presenting best marketing practices.

You will get an opportunity to publish your work. All contributions will be double blind reviewed. Accepted papers will be eligible for publication in the Conference Proceedings (with ISBN), as well as in other publications such as books and scientific journals.

You could improve your knowledge of research methodology. Doctoral and postgraduate students can participate in a pre-conference workshop on research methodology. Topics that will be covered are: operationalisation and instrumentalisation of the research proposal, defining the scientific contribution, how to choose the right research method, introduction to qualitative and quantitative methods.

You can participate in the
Meet the Editors session. The Meet the Editors session is designed for young researchers to help them understand how to adequately present their research, which will consequently facilitate their work getting published.
You will experience magnificent landscapes and delicious local gastronomy. The picturesque surroundings, mythical landscapes, charming medieval towns and exquisite local specialties will make sure your time here is truly memorable! Our venue, the Hotel Excelsior is situated in Lovran by the sea in an idyllic setting (Lovran tourst board). Nearby Opatija’s Riviera is also worth visiting (Opatija tourist board or Opatija riviera).   

Your social network will be expanded. The conference will offer many opportunities to discuss, network, mingle and socialise with marketing professionals, researchers, editors and students from various backgrounds.



Congress publications will include:
-  Book of Abstracts
-  Conference Proceedings (published on a CD, with ISBN)
- Selected papers will be nominated for publication in the following scientific journals:
